Piles Cure – Some Information
May 2nd, 2010If you have piles, which are medically known as hemorrhoids, you may find yourself very embarrassed and uncomfortable. Piles are caused when there is strain put on the blood vessels around one’s anus. It irritates these vessels and causes the tissue around them to form large bumps. A piles cure is the last thing anyone wants to think about, but it is far preferable to be a little embarrassed when going to the doctor than risk discomfort or other problems.
You should try to figure out why you got them in the first place. Stopping the source of the piles will keep them from getting irritated, allow you to cure them, and may keep you from getting any more. The most common cause is repeatedly difficult bowel movements. The blood vessels around your anus are sensitive and this puts a great deal of strain on them.
Eat well, and eat foods that are high in fiber. If you have this problem, go right to a doctor. It could mask something bigger. Sitting all the time also puts strain on the area, so try to find time to move around during the day. Keep your weight at a healthy level. There are two reasons for this. The first is that extra weight means extra strain. The second reason is that often over weight people are heavy because they eat poorly, causing bowel movements to be more difficult than they need to be. Balance your diet.
Your doctor will assign you the best treatment plan for your life. You can also get the area examined for things like rectal cancer. Your treatment may be something as simple as taking warm baths, which can relax the blood vessels in the area. Cold compresses have also been advised.
You will probably have to suck up any embarrassment and just buy some recommended creams. You will not need anything heavy, and pain killers for this condition will probably just be simple aspirin. Make sure the area is cleaned well, since infections can turn really ugly in terms of pain. Suppositories are great since they can get medication to the area quickly.
There are always other medical options if you need them right away. They are pricier and more intense, but can be a good way to guarantee an improvement. The doctor could do something called rubber band ligation. Though it does not use an actual rubber band, the doctor will use a stretchy instrument to cut off circulation to the piles. They will eventually dry up and fall off.
It can also be cut off in an electrical process. Medicines can be injected into it to do damage to the vein and dry it up. It can be frozen off, like many dermatologists do with moles. It can also be surgically cut off, but this has been known to lead to problems later.
There are plenty of natural things you can do or eat to make them better. Do your research and ask your doctor. Beware of companies that sell ‘cures’, especially in pill form. Only take things that are approved and proven to work.
